IT’S YOUR TIME TO GROW
Welcome! I’m Katie (she/her).
I earned my degree from California State University, Fullerton in 2019, focusing my thesis on the impact of trauma from a loved one. That research ignited my passion for working with complex trauma, especially healing from betrayal. My work in trauma naturally led me to specialize in eating disorder care, where I take a whole-person approach to recovery. Both trauma and eating disorders deeply affect physical, emotional, and relational well-being, and I’m honored to help people navigate the difficult—but possible—path to healing.
Living with ADHD and chronic health struggles has given me a deep understanding of the challenges that come with neurodivergence and chronic illness. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to navigate a world that isn’t always built with accessibility and understanding in mind. That perspective helps me bring empathy and validation to my work, especially in supporting neurodivergent individuals.
I’ve worked across all levels of care, including community mental health, eating disorder treatment at intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential levels before starting my private practice. My experience allows me to meet you where you are, providing care that’s affirming, compassionate, and tailored to your needs.
I practice through a Health at Every Size® and Intuitive Eating/anti-diet lens and am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist. In our work together, I take a collaborative approach—you’re the expert on your life, and I’m here to help you better understand yourself, build skills, and move forward.
I’m passionate about plants, pottery, rescuing strays (hence my four pets), renovating our old house, and reading every book I can get my hands on. My own struggles in high school and college showed me the power of having someone who truly sees you and fights for your healing. That experience led me to my dream job—being that person for others.
